What a community workspace is
A company or group buys reward credit up front and hands it to its own people.
A community is an organisation — an employer, an association, a club — that buys reward credit from participating businesses and distributes it to its staff or members. A staff lunch budget spendable at nearby cafés is the usual shape of it.
Three things follow from that:
- You buy the credit up front. It sits in your workspace as a balance, held per retailer.
- You decide who gets what. Members receive credit from you, and spend it at the business it came from.
- It is free for you. Gamma charges the retailer, not the community. What you pay for is the credit itself, and that goes to the business.
